The holistic growth as well as to develop the various facets of personality development of children; classroom teaching should be supplemented with
co-curricular activities. These out of class activities affect all domains of life such as cognitive (intellectual), emotional, social, moral, cultural
and aesthetic. These activities provide support to students to venture into professional fields like fashion, music, painting, art, acting, photography,
printing and much more.
Students at SPS have been divided into four houses, namely, Pratap House, Ashoka House, Shivaji House, Surajmal House and Inter-house competitions are held to provide ample opportunities to the students to exhibit freely their talents and aesthetic sense.
This Department encourages the students to recognize their artistic talent and to try their hands-on drawing, painting, mask making, paper cutting, craft, glass painting, Sculpture & Origami etc.
India is home to a stunning array of classical and folk art. Dance and music are integrated into the Indian way of life.
The school has separate Music Room & Dance room. Children are persuaded to learn Indian and western music & dance of their choice. The music room is well equipped with instruments like Harmonium, Tabla, Dholak, Guitar, Synthesizer, Casio etc.
The school routine exclusively includes Yoga and Meditation which is the age old, time tested tool for control over mind and body.
The ‘Aims’ of the NCC laid out in 1988 have stood the test of time and continue to meet the requirements expected of it in the current socio–economic scenario of the country. The NCC aims at developing character, comradeship, discipline, a secular outlook, the spirit of adventure and ideals of selfless service amongst young citizens. Further, it aims at creating a pool of organized, trained and motivated youth with leadership qualities in all walks of life, who will serve the Nation regardless of which career they choose. Needless to say, the NCC also provides an environment conducive to motivating young Indians to join the armed forces.SPS has approval for raising of half Junior Division (Army) with a strength of 50 school under the command of 3 Raj. Bn, NCC, Sikar.It is helpful in creating a pool of organized, trained and motivated youth with leadership qualities in all walks of life, who will serve the nation regardless of which career they choose.
The Scout and Guide movements provide a valuable addition to the formal education. Therefore SPS provides a platform for Scout & Guide Training to the students. Games & Sports: – The school has a host of facilities that include both outdoor and indoor games. The school also participates actively in inter-school, CBSE cluster and National competitions that give students to realize their talents. The school has separate playgrounds & Courts for Volleyball, Basketball, Tennis, Football, Badminton, Athletics Training and Cricket Practice. Facilities are available for Horse Riding, Swimming, Judo, Taekwondo & Skating. National Level Coaches have been appointed to groom the children in various sports. Indoor games like Table Tennis, Chess, Carrom etc are played in the spacious sports room.
In order to channelize, sublimate and orientate the creative energies of the prospective young citizens, the school provides training to the willing and enthusiastic students in the following cultural and literary areas.
The school regularly conducts excursions and outing to places of interest, science, beauty, culture, social and religious importance.
